What to see

Some 40 miles off the Venezuela cost the island nation of Curaao is a naturalist's dream. Curaao not only has fringing coral reefs but also boasts one of the Caribbean's most picturesque harbours.

For the major part of the year diving is from the western, leeward, shores of this low lying island. Many sites are easily accessible from shore although each has its fair share of 'ironshore' so a combination of shore and boat diving is the ideal option.

South of the capital Willemstad, Curaao's underwater park has 16 bouyed sites including the Tow Boat, a popular night dive. To the north the wreck of the 3000 ton Superior Producer sits upright in 128 feet of water. The low levels of rain mean that visibility around Curaao is consistently good year round.
