La Mirande is utterly romantic not least in its unique location directly adjacent to the eastern facade of the Popes’ Palace which is visible from almost every room as well as from the beautiful garden.
Breakfast buffet, composed of local and organic products, is served either in the Louis XV garden room or in the garden itself at the foot of the Popes’ Palace. Breakfast can also be taken in the room.

The bar of the luxury 5-star hotel La Mirande in the centre of Avignon is an exquisite place. In the cosy salons, on the patio or the terrace, come and enjoy a wide range of classic and creative cocktails, spirits and Champagne at the bar as well as a selection of teas and homemade pastries at tea time.
La Table Haute, downstairs in the old kitchen where guests share a large table and dinner is prepared on the old wood burning kitchen range as it was in use in the 19th century.
Le Mirage is a tavern style restaurant where you find a convivial atmosphere sprinkled with wine. A permanent exhibition of paintings by american artist, Timothy Hennessy, contributes to the offbeat ambiance within the medieval walls.
Downstairs, in the authentic 19th Century kitchen, is located the renowned cooking school of Avignon where, since 1994, our resident chefs, as well as invited chefs, lead classes in lockstep with the spirit and individuality of the 5-star luxury hotel.
The chefs enhance the gastronomy of Provence through a diversified range of 3-course menus to be reproduced at home.
Many internationally acclaimed musicians stay at La Mirande for chamber music house concerts. There are also conceptual art performances and exhibitions.

The Musique Sacrée et Orgue en Avignon association is once again stopping off at the Salon de Musique de La Mirande as part of the Journées Messiaen tribute to Olivier Messiaen.
The Salle Cardinalice will welcome Pascal Contet and Ensemble Tarantule for a magnificent, original and varied program, featuring voice and accordion, with works by Gesualdo, Purcell, Couperin, Vivaldi, Bach and Philip Glass.
