General Description
The Atlas Amadil Hotel is built in a stylish, contemporary Moroccan style and is located by a sandy beach one kilometre from the city centre. The 326 guestrooms have light decor with warm, autumn-tone furnishings and balconies. All include Internet connections, satellite television with premium channels, direct-dial phones, climate control and ceiling fans. Minibars and in-room safes are available on request.
Set in landscaped grounds by a private beach with parasols and sun beds, the hotel has a large outdoor pool where guests can cool off or relax with a drink from Le Chantaco, the poolside bar. Those wishing to pamper themselves can enjoy an Arabic steam bath or sauna, indulge in a massage or visit the beautician. Supervised activities for children and a kids' pool are on offer, and for the adults there is a fully equipped gym. Guests visiting on business can make use of three meeting rooms with audio-visual equipment, two with a capacity of 40 and one of 250. Free secure parking is available for all guests arriving by car. Table tennis, volleyball, mini-football, beach ball, French bowls, darts, miniature golf, and classes in gymnastics and aerobics are all on offer on site. At the beach, guests can parasail, water- ski, windsurf or try out a jet ski. Le Littoral restaurant offers an informal buffet of International and Moroccan dishes, with views over the ocean, while La Vague serves seafood and Italian specialities in marine- style surroundings. The Valley of the Birds, boasting 60 different species, is 1.5 kilometres from the hotel and the traditional Moroccan village of La Medina is four kilometres away. Two 18-hole golf courses, Golf du Soleil and Golf des Dunes, are five kilometres away. Agadir Almassira Airport is 28 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 30 minutes.
Renovation notice:
Due to public works the beach in front of the hotel will be closed from December 2007 onwards. During this period the hotel will operate a regular complimentary shuttle service to the private beach of the Royal Atlas Hotel, where towels will be available free to all guests.
