CATHARINA'S RESTAURANT
A stunning 50-seater restaurant with a contemporary feel offering great views of False Bay, the surrounding Steenberg Mountains and vineyards. Award-winning Executive Chef, Garth Almazan, (multiple winner of the American Express Fine Dining Award) creates sophisticated South African cuisine at Catharina’s Restaurant where guests are invited to relax and wine and dine in style. Tailored health menus are also offered.

BISTRO SIXTEEN82
A trendy, cellar door daytime eatery, with striking, modern design, a glorious vineyard setting, charming reflection pools and sensory gardens, which are complemented by a warm and inviting ambience. Here, food and wines are brought together in a feast of the senses, incorporating the Steenberg Winery, Wine Tasting Bar and Tasting Lounge. Since it opened in 2009, Chef Brad Ball has been winning diners over with his creativity and innovative cuisine, and it came as no surprise when the Bistro received its first American Express Platinum Card Fine Dining Award in 2011.

GORGEOUS BY GRAHAM BECK
The first brand-exclusive bubbly bar in South Africa was also opened in February 2012. Deriving its name from the favoured term of endearment of the late Mr Graham Beck, Gorgeous is a statement in indulgent elegance, where guests can relax in the comfortable lounge area or at the elegant bar to enjoy – by the bottle or by the glass, – a full selection of Graham Beck Wines’ complemented by Garth’s sumptuous canapés.

POOL BAR
A pool bar that is the epitome of style. Relax on the comfortable pool loungers whilst taking in the breathtaking views of the Steenberg Mountains and beyond. The pool is large enough to have a decent swim and knowledgeable and well trained staff are discreetly present to satisfy one’s every need. For sparkling winter days there is a heated pool for the dedicated swimmer.

WINERY
Steenberg is the oldest wine farm in the Constantia Valley, one of South Africa's premier wine growing regions. The two flagship wines, Sauvignon Blanc Reserve and Catharina’s, a red Bordeaux blend, have won many acclaims under winemaker John Loubser's excellent guidance. With currently 62 hectares under vine, other varietals are Merlot, Shiraz, Nebbiolo, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc Loire, Steenberg Cap Classique, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

GOLF
A championship 18-hole golf course designed by Peter Matkovitch surrounds the hotel. Special green fee rates are extended to hotel guests. The course was designed to make full use of natural features and hazards. Its environmental diversity gives the course its unique character. In addition, the Cape boasts a number of other championship golf courses situated in close proximity to the hotel making Steenberg Hotel a worthy and sought after golfing destination.

Directions from
Follow the N2 towards the City. Take the M3 Muizenberg turn off (Left). Follow M3 southbound towards Muizenberg. You will pass the University of Cape Town on your right. Travel until you reach a T-Junction (+- 18km) – ensuring that you are in the right hand lane. Turn right on M 42 (Steenberg Road) - Direction Ou Kaapse Weg. Proceed through two traffic light intersections. You will see the Steenberg Farm stall on your left, Steenberg is 300m later on your left hand side.
Once you have passed through the security gate, follow the green signs for the Restaurant and Hotel
