Hotel Description
Hawley House is a distillation of all that is special in Tasmania - the transformation of a romantic fantasy into reality. The Victorian Gothic mansion with a mountain backdrop overlooks pristine golden beaches. The gardens are built around small lakes rimmed by flowers, and are home to trout and waterfowl. Fur, feather, skin and fin find sanctuary in Hawley's substantial wildlife reserve.

Hawley House has been the Houghton family's home for three generations. The house, her Stables and the Vineyard Pavilion are one with her peacock lawns, water gardens, the sandy beaches and the Narawntapu National Park beyond.  Hawley unashamedly embraces the patina created by her 130 year history, and the idiosyncrasies of being a family home.

Hawley House is the original homestead of the 150 hectare working estate which sustains a substantial vineyard and an extensive and comprehensive wildlife reserve.
