L'Hotel is the younger sister to the five star Capital Hotel.

Established as a smaller, more intimate affair with a simple French feel to her rooms L'Hotel is perfectly located in a quiet residential street with the joys of London at a discreet distance.

L'Hotel is a small, luxurious "bed and breakfast", offering exceptional value for money and a simple, stylish alternative to those large anonymous hotels that threaten to fill our city.

With just 12 rooms we pride ourselves on the friendly service this enables us to give. Located just steps away from the delights (and temptations!) of Harrod's and Harvey Nichols, the neighbourhood is just beautiful.

You can stroll the residential streets or get lost amid the whirl of Knightsbridge and the exclusive shops on Sloane Street.

If culture is your style then the V & A and the Natural History Museums are a short walk away.

The leafy green space of Hyde Park, one of London's most beautiful royal parks, is just across the road and yet the bustle of theatre land is all within easy access.

BEDROOMS
Rooms are simple but comfortable and stylishly designed. All have ensuite facilities and can be made up as either a double or a twin room with the exception of our suite, which has a double bed and a sofa bed. Our larger 'fireplace' rooms have enough space for a rollaway bed or travel cot that we can supply for a small charge. Beds are hand made and a good rest is helped by the gentle caress of fine Egyptian cotton sheets and cookies at bed time!

BREAKFAST
This can be hasty or relaxed whatever your needs dictate! Served in our own restaurant Le Metro from 7.30am to 11.30am and consisting of the most buttery of croissants or pain au chocolate baked by our own baker and served with home made jams and marmalade. A more substantial breakfast is also available.


Le Metro is open for lunch and dinner, serving popular brasserie style food, afternoon teas and sandwiches, wines by the glass, cocktails and smooth Illy coffee.

L'Hotel and Le Metro are situated in Basil Street, a quiet residential thoroughfare in the heart of Knightsbridge. Harrods is less than a minute's walk away; Harvey Nichols a mere two.Continue a few yards more and you will come to the exclusive boutiques of Beauchamp Place, the Brompton Arcade and Sloane Street, before reaching the eclectic mix of shops in the King's Road. Guests can step out and into Belgravia, admiring the delightfully ornate red-brick Dutch houses of Pont Street, the quaint, flower-filled mews, and the tranquil garden squares. Three of London's famous Royal parks are close by; namely Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and St. James's, and the jogging map recommends several routes. For the less energetic, a leisurely walk will offer the opportunity to explore their leafy open spaces and landscaped gardens.
