The Ranjit Vilas Palace in Wankaner, Gujarat, is a grand building rising three-stories high. Its architecture reflects a synthesis of Rajput, Islamic, Venetian and Gothic styles and has ornate arches, minarets with domes, and an impressive clock tower. The Ranjit Vilas Palace was built and designed by Maharana Raj Shri Amarsinhji, the last ruler of Wankaner.
Situated on the Gadhio hill, the Ranjit Vilas Palace has a collection of vintage cars and a herd of Kathiawadi horses, on which you can enjoy a ride. The private museum at the Wankaner Palace has a collection of royal artifacts and hunting trophies. You can also see a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside from the Ranjit Vilas Palace. Cultural performances such as folk dances are arranged for guests at the hotel.

The Royal Residency also known as Khengar Bhavan was built in 1882 for the British Resident, who advised the minor ruler, till he came of age. The Motiwadi Royal Oasis is located in an orchard, on the bank of the Machhu River. Begun in 1875, it was completed in the period 1930 to 1940, and decorated in art-deco style. The summer retreat of the royal family of Wankaner, the Motiwadi Royal Oasis has 12 opulent suites and an indoor swimming pool with an art-deco ambience. The step well at the Motiwadi Royal Oasis is a special attraction, with three underground storeys and fountains.
