Hotel Description
"To us Rathsallagh is so much more than just a business, it is our home, it is our life, it is informal, and we strive to make it genuinely warm and welcoming to all. Our staff are special people, most live locally and they have a natural sense of hospitality and willingness born of innate country values which are empowered by their dedication and expertise"

Converted from Queen Anne stables in 1798 Rathsallagh is a large 4-star Grade A country house set in 530 acres of peaceful parkland with its own walled garden - all surrounded by the magnificent Rathsallagh Golf Club. We are perfectly located central to some of the most beautiful countryside in eastern Ireland.
Luxury Hotel Accommodation
Rathsallagh House is a Queen Anne stables converted into living accommodation after the original house was burnt out during the rebellion of 1798. Today there are 31 bedrooms at Rathsallagh, all en-suite and all individually named and decorated.

To get a feel for the rooms themselves you only have to read some of the quotes of those who have stayed in them. -"My bedroom overlooked rolling lawns and ancient oaks. The bed was the size of a croquet lawn." - Alan Bestic, The Sunday Telegraph - in The Blue Room

Opening French doors from our specious en-suite room, I stepped out into the beauty of an eighteenth-century Irish walled garden, to be overwhelmed by the scent of Philadelphus Belle Etoile."- The English Garden - in The Rose Cottage.

"The Country House visit unfolded like a fantasy. You could stay in them forever and recuperate from your everyday life." - Mary Finnegan, Sunday Business Post - in The Half Acre.

Other rooms such as the Buttercup, the Romantic, the Over Arch and The Yellow Room, with its bath set in an alcove, are old favorites with guests who come back time and time again.
