Villa Cortine which sits upon the hall in the heart of the peninsual of Sirmione, rendered immortal by the lyrics of Roman poet Catullo, dominates the entire basin of Lake Garda.
A centennial park full of rare essences and fragrant bushes surround the neo-classic style villa erected in 1870 by the Austrian nobileman Kurt von Koseritz, great assessor of art and Italian culture.The park extends on an area of 4 hectares of land that descends towards the lake shore.
It hosts nine important fountains in mythological theme. One that stands out for it's grandeur is the fountain of Neptune which greets all gruest upon arrival at the main entrance of the villa.
From the second half of the twentieth century, after a considerable structural enlargement, the villa was transformed into a hotel of great quality and prestige.
In the 1970's a local enterprising enterpeneur aquired the property and thanks to an attentive and complete restructuring restored the antique slendor to the house.
