Only 90 minutes from Mexico City, in the state of Morelos, just off the recently completed super highway to Acapulco, a cobble-stoned promenade lined with statuesque Royal Palms leads us into the sixteenth century, by way of a magnificent Hacienda named San Gabriel ,which is now a small but very exclusive hotel, surrounded by lush vegetation and blessed by a constant all-year round warm climate. The main building was constructed in 1529 under the orders of Hernan Cortes. The stone walls which support immense barrel vaults have been painstakingly and meticulously restored over the years to give each corner an atmosphere of serenity.
