General Description
Location. The Al Hamra Fort Hotel is located two kilometres from the ghost town of Jazirat Al Hamra and 20 kilometres from the city of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Dubai is 75 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Set overlooking the Arabian Gulf, the Al Hamra Hotel comprises a main residence built in the style of an Arabian fort, and a village of sandy-coloured townhouses. The resort features three outdoor pools, two at the main building and one at the Village. An onsite health club offers massages, scrubs, facials, and reflexology, and houses sauna and fitness equipment. Complimentary shuttle services run to the Ras Al Khaimah Al Manar Mall and the Dubai City Centre Mall. Other amenities include a hair salon, helipad, banking services, and complimentary valet parking.
The Al Hamra Fort Hotel houses five restaurants, offering Italian, Lebanese, and South-east Asian dining, as well as a Mongolian barbecue. Refreshments are served at the poolside bar. The Village Townhouses complex features a beach bar and restaurant, and a coffee shop. A buffet breakfast is served each day.
The grounds of the Al Hamra Fort Hotel feature an 18-hole golf course, a driving range, two floodlit tennis courts, and a volleyball court. The 1.5-kilometre beach offers water sports including water skiing, sailing, and scuba diving. The hotel offers a programme of live entertainment. The hotel also features a children's pool, a kids' club, and a children's pool.
Guestrooms. There are 226 guestrooms in the hotel and 219 townhouses at the Village, 400 metres from the main building. All have Mediterranean or Middle Eastern-styled furnishings and decor. Amenities include satellite television, dial-up Internet (surcharge), and minibars. Bathrooms offer complimentary toiletries, slippers, telephones, tubs, and showers.
Expert Tip. The abandoned village of Jazirat Al Hamra, was abandoned when a new town was built inland. The traditional houses, now in some disrepair, are built from blocks of coral.

The Al Hamra Village - Town Houses offer a new concept of 'Hotel within the Hotel'. The accommodation consists of 28 Town Houses, built on the heritage of Arabian Architecture. We have two wings of low rise buildings, separated by a road. One wing overviews the entire golf course; the other wing offers a pool and garden view. This new concept offers a cozy atmosphere since town houses have their own reception desk, outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, pool side bar, gym, 2 massage rooms and sauna for ladies & gents plus changing room.
Exterior
The low rise sandstone building "Fort" is located at its own laguna surrounded of a beautiful sandy beach and palmtree gardens.
Lobby
The lobby is large with light marble, the walls are in sandstone from the mountains in the surrounding. The reception is to the right, to the left there is an Arabic "welcome" tent.

Direction B: Take left turn from Dubai Airport Terminal on the way to Rashidiyah Road until you reach the second signal and drive ahead and turn left to Emirates Road showing the signboard of Sharjah Route. Drive ahead until you reach the last round about and turn left on the route to Al Jazeera district. Travel time is 45 minutes.
