Mar Hall is a historic retreat standing in a 240-acre estate in the picturesque countryside surrounding Glasgow. The hotel, originally built in 1840, was named after the 11th Earl Of Mar who inspired first Jacobite Rising to restore the Kingdom of Scotland. Standing today as a fine example of Gothic architecture, Mar Hall has recently undergone a �15 million restoration that promises to place it among Scotland's leading luxury hotels. The hotel overlooks the Kilpatrick Hills beyond which lies Loch Lomond. Mar Hall is also just five miles from Glasgow.
