Since 1927 the Roosevelt has been the playground of luminaries including Clark Gable, Carole Lombard and Marilyn Monroe and the birthplace of the Academy Awards. Sweeping renovations by acclaimed designer Dodd Mitchell in 2005 heralded its rebirth -- a place where old Hollywood and young Hollywood entwine.

Today the hotel features 355 beautifully appointed rooms, including 20 luxury suites. Among the suites are a Grand Suite, the "Celebrity Suite," ten movie "theme" suites and nine three-room Hollywood suites. There are also 65 Cabana rooms in a tropical garden setting bordering an Olympic swimming pool, Jacuzzi and Tropicana Bar. Roosevelt's now famous "Blossom Room" was the site of the first Academy Awards presentation presided over by Douglas Fairbanks.
