Slightly larger than the nearby Waverly 1, Harmony House enjoys a similarly enviable position on Gibbs Beach, one of the most admired of the smaller bays on Barbados. Built from the local coral stone, the free-standing house is separated from the sands by a lush and shady tropical garden, which leads off a large covered dining terrace at the fa�ade of the house. The deep plunge pool is in a walled courtyard with its own shower for rinsing off, with a poolside bar.Wander into the house and you will find a brightly furnished sunken living and dining area, to enjoy the splendid local dishes, prepared by the cook. One of the three en-suite bedrooms is on the ground floor and has its own private verandah, whilst upstairs the other two have their own balconies, with refreshing sea views. Both of these bedrooms have outdoor showers and one has a Jacuzzi. If you do want to experiment with the local restaurants of an evening, then Speightstown is only five minutes drive from this family house. The bet is you will want to enjoy the comforts of home cooking, with the sounds of the waves in the background.
