If you love Italian food and wine this typical Tuscan farmhouse is the place for you. Just a few minutes from Greve, in the heart of Chianti, it stands in its own large garden on a wine estate owned by an aristocratic family from Florence, who also run a renowned cookery school just up the road. The winery itself is just a few hundred yards away and the owner is happy to make by prior arrangement for you to taste his celebrated wines. The house itself is old, with terracotta floors, a glorious beamed ceiling in the dining room and a vast brick open fireplace in the adjoining sitting room. Upstairs, via the study (which doubles as a single bedroom), you will find another living area, off which are the three en-suite bedrooms. There is a covered verandah built onto the side of the house - the perfect spot to sip a glass of the estate's red wine whilst looking out over the vineyards, If you have taken one of the cookery courses, using some of the glorious seasonal produce from the local markets there is a splendid country style kitchen for you to practise your skills in.
