This classic farmhouse is set on a terrace below the hilltop village of Montenero, deep in the Umbrian countryside, yet just twenty minutes drive from the city of Orvieto, famous for its wines, and beautiful cathedral. The furnishings boast a wide variety of antiques, such as the large collection of old plates hung on the walls of the typically Italian kitchen. Frescos grace the walls as you take the fine wooden staircase to the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a canopied bed and there are six bathrooms, not all en suite, as well as an upstairs sitting room, with beamed ceilings, wooden floors and a fireplace. Downstairs, there is a split-level sitting room adjoining a splendid dining room, reached from the kitchen through a set of impressive arches. Houseguests can also choose a book from the small library or brush up on their game on the billiard table. Most meals are taken outside at the glass table in the tiled loggia at the side of the house, overlooking the large pool.
