As holiday aficionados know, Mallorca is a special island, Deia is the most special place on it and this is a very special house. Reached by a narrow private road and set on an exclusive estate amidst many acres of wooded mountain countryside, it is just a stroll downhill to the restaurants and shops of the town. Backing on to one of the many rocky out-crops which are a feature of this end of the island, the three-bedroom stone house appears to blend into the scenery- apart that is from its pale blue window shutters and the trailing plants which cover the facade. >From beside the pool, which has a built-in Jacuzzi and can be heated in winter, the views of the sea and mountain are quite simply stunning - enough to distract you from your serve on the tennis court. That is if you are not having a game of pool in the downstairs game room off the terrace. There are two en-suite bedrooms on this floor, with the split-level master suite, which has its own lounge, above. To spoil yourself further, then a chef can be arranged to prepare a special Mallorcean dinner or create a delicious barbecue on the terrace.
