| Hotel Description The Falmouth Hotel was the first hotel to be built in Falmouth in 1865 and is a beautiful chatea-style building set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens. It is situated on the seafront opposite Castle Beach and Pendennis Castle on the headland. Further along there is a blue flag sandy beach and Lizard Point headland.
The Falmouth hotel retains many of its original Victorian features and is considered a fine example of the architecture of the time. Over the years it has hosted the great and the good, including military heroes, royalty, pop stars and even a Prime Minister or two. It was a favourite childhood holiday destination of Beatrix Potter whose first drawings of Peter Rabbit and other famous characters were penned whilst she was on holiday there.
The Falmouth hotel is located a short walking distance from the centre of Falmouth and harbour. it's key attractions including shops, Art Gallery, Theatre and the award-winning National Maritime Museum.
