Hotel Reviews| "Ciragan Palace Hotel, transportive and amazing" | User Rating: | | Date: 26/02/2007: Reviewer from Seattle,USA | | This hotel has the most exhilerating location right on the Bospherous. The grounds to walk along the Bospherous are beautfully manicured with the Palace, and the replicas of antiquities about, set the mood to make you think about the Ottoman Empire, and how the Sultans lived lavishly.
The swimming pool is EXQUISITE, outdoor, heated, and again right on the Bosphorous. I loved swimming and watching the ships go by. Swimming was an interesting experience while it was snowing and the steam would rise off the pool, and it was glorius. Pool service was efficent and extremly well executed. The food was always memorable, healthy and delicious!
There is the beautiful Yildiez park across the street, that provides excellent hiking or jogging. It is the area the Sultans had their summer palaces. wonderful views of the Bospherous. Cafes exist sporadically throughout the park, converted from summer palaces. At the top of the hill in Yildez Park is a wonderful tourist attraction, the actual summer palace of some Ottoman.
The entertainment in the hotel barwas surprisingly high level at the time I was visiting. An American Jazz Singer, a stunning beauty! A very hip singer with great TURKISH JAZZ MUSICIANS. Just one of the many delights of this hotel. I loved the Palace, the brunch was fabulous, and the people that worked there were very sweet, helpful and fun to see every day! |
