Hotel Reviews| "Amari Palm Reef Review" | User Rating: | | Date: 20/11/2006: Reviewer from Southampton,UK | | Have visited this hotel on a number of occassions in the past the last being in Oct 05. The development has somewhat changed over the years and our latest visit included additional accommodation a new Italian restaurant and changes to the original retaurant and bar area.
We thought the increase in accommodation had made the pool areas restaurants and bar areas too busy although the hotels location and standards of service were still very good and friendly...nice to see some old faces from the past.
The new Italian restaurant was a hit and reasonably priced.
If you are looking for a good 4* hotel as a base for your beach holiday this place is very good. Just outside of the start of the town but within walking distance of the whole strip....how its changed from the first time we came some 12 years ago.
The hotel is a great base from which to discover the island by car, bike or taxi.
On this last visit due to the unusual poor weather the hotel did seem too crowded although if you were a first time visitor to the island i would reccommend this hotel its a great base for everything in town by foot or local taxi and the pool and beach areas are still as charming. |
