The JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa has completed the first phase of the extension of its South wing and is proud to announce the opening of several new facilities. Prominent feature of the new South wing is the landscaped swimming pool with a new bar. The swimming pool has an irregular shape and affords stunning views of the Andaman Sea, its depth varies from 1.2 to 2 meters. The "Out of the Blue" Bar has a unique concept - it is divided into two sections - the "Out of the Blue - Splash" which is embedded in the middle of the new swimming pool and "Out of the Blue - Drink" located outside the pool. A new Wellness Sala has been added in the South wing gardens: the sala offers new possibilities of recreation including meditation, yoga, Thai boxing, aerobics and cultural classes. The end of the first quarter of 2006 will see the opening of a Thai fine dining restaurant which will have two parts: "Ginja - Taste" located on the beachfront and serving the best of the Thai cuisine and "Ginja - Cook" set as a premier cooking school offering cooking classes and featuring private dinners with the resorts' Executive Chef or chefs specializing in special regional cuisines.

Luxury Hotel Accommodation
All rooms and suites face the ocean or command expansive views of the landscaped tropical gardens and pools. Most rooms have full or partial views of the Andaman Sea. Accommodation is contained in low rise three storey buildings amongst an oasis of coconut palms and lush tropical gardens. Deluxe Sala Garden View Rooms, Deluxe Sala Sea View Rooms, and Deluxe Sala Terrace Rooms - rooms are spacious and elegant with a minimum of 47 square meters of luxurious living space. Each room features a balcony and indoor �sala' with twin massage mats and colorful triangular cushions for reading and relaxing. Polished wooden floors and rich silk fabrics from Jim Thompson further enhance the Thai ambience. Bathrooms are luxuriously spacious and feature separate shower and oversized soaking tub. Louvered panels open to provide a view from the bath to the room beyond. Dual-line telephone with modem port, high speed internet access, mini-bar, coffee/tea-making facilities, and electronic safety boxes are in all rooms. One third of the rooms(Deluxe Sala Terrace Rooms), located on the ground floor, have an additional 16 square meter private landscaped terrace. One Bedroom Suites Twelve luxurious one-bedroom suites have commanding views of the Andaman Sea. Each suite measures 98 square meters. Eight suites have the option of an additional interconnecting room. One-bedroom suites have a balcony measuring a minimum of 71 square meters.
