Hotel Description

Totally renovated with a classic but modern interiors and contemporary paintings, Blue Sturgeon is situated on the small port of Saint-Seurin-d'Uzet, "the village of caviar", famous in the 1920's for being the first place in Europe to produce caviar. Mr Pierre Bergé, the co-founder of Yves-Saint-Laurent, is to open a caviar museum / bistro on the port and later a caviar restaurant in association with Prunier caviar restaurant of Paris.

Blue Sturgeon has 4 bedrooms, all with bathrooms. We offer a bar, lounge and dining area with log burning stove and exposed beams with rare carpentry. There is a large park 9000m² with a lake and a pool backing onto sunflowers fields.

With as many sunshine hours as Nice and the Côte d'Azur, Saint-Seurin d'Uzet is situated on the right bank of the Gironde estuary facing Medoc (some of the finest vineyards in the world).

Blue Sturgeon is in an ideal position set in the country amongst vineyards and by sea - 10 minutes from some of the best beaches on the Atlantic.

There are severals bars, restaurants and a night club, available within easy reach 10 minutes away. Golf, shopping, restaurants and bars in Royan or Saintes 30 minutes, and Cognac 1h.

Horse riding and tennis are in St Seurin, cycling, boating, fishing and water sports are all available nearby.
