| Hotel Description A 15th century monastery has now been transformed into one of Europe's most charming and picturesque hotels. A villa of unsurpassed beauty in an oasis of peace, only a few minutes from the centre of Florence.
Luxury Hotel Accommodation The Old Chapel
Built on the border of the wooded park which surrounds the hotel and once used only for retreat by the monks, the Old Chapel contains the hotel's most private and secluded room, a true honeymooners' hideaway.
Standard Rooms
Tastefully appointed with walnut or cherry custom-made furniture, each of these rooms features king, queen or twin beds.
Some of these rooms look onto the intimate cloister, which accommodates the bar, discreetly visible through the glass roof, and allows its use in any season, or at the soaring cypress trees intertwined with creeping roses and wisteria.
Handmade parchment lampshades, carpets in sober colours, curtains of the finest cotton and upholstery in elegant symbiosis, with the colour schemes dominated by warm pastels.

The Donatello Suite
Once upon a time the Prior's quarters, it occupies the whole corner of the monastery, with two windows overlooking Florence and the Arno Valley and two windows enjoying the peaceful sight of the Italian Garden and the wooded park - a pole position today as it was in days gone by.
A spacious, sunlit, separate sitting room featuring a corner fireplace of exquisite craftsmanship leads into a large, well-appointed bedroom with king size bed, breakfast table and elbow rest chairs. A 16th-century buffet with drawers is available for clients' clothes.
Suite Michelangelo
Inundated by daylight from sunrise to sunset, the Michelangelo Suite stretches the whole length of the faade of the Villa San Michele.
Once the monastery library, it became Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte's headquarters in Florence. Today the huge, canopied, king-size bed and the exquisite decorations remain fit for an emperor.
