The dignified opulence of our Thomas Mann Suite and the Johann Daniel Falk Suite make a lasting impression. Quality oak parquet, wall paneling with teak inlay work, handcrafted stucco work, and carefully-wrought items of furniture exude an air of tranquil elegance. Botticino and Nero Assuloto marble is combined with fine wood and sanded glass in the luxurious bathrooms. A special feature of the Thomas Mann Suite is the series of paintings by artist Armin Mueller-Stahl entitled “Die Manns” (The Manns).

The Lilli Palmer Suite was named in honour of the famous actress whose title role in the film of Thomas Mann’s novel Lotte in Weimar led to her close association with the Hotel Elephant. 30 stills and 13 figurines (costume designs) from the 1975 Defa Studios production adorn this 3rd floor suite and the hotel foyer.
