The Relais & Chateaux Hertelendy Kastely***** is a luxury hideaway, which is located in the idyllic rolling hills of Somogy. Since December 2009, the castle hotel Hertelendy is Hungary's first member of the luxury Relais & Chateaux collection. The Hertelendy Kastely has turned out to be an exclusive homage to the golden days of the Hungarian aristocracy. It was built 1920 by Andor Hertelendy. Today it is in Swiss ownership and connects homelike atmosphere with exquisite elegance. Hertelendy Kastely's 14 rooms are the first in Hungary to win 5* superior category in June 2011.
The decision was taken by the Hotel Association of Hungary, which, as a founding member of Hotelstars Union, is responsible for the rating of hotels in Hungary. Hotelstars Union is a hotel rating system established by 7 members of the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Cafes in Europe.
The style of Austro-Hungarian empire in combination with an three-years of renovation makes the rooms and suites very charming. Every suite comes with air conditioning, LCD-TV set, free cabel internet, a refreshment center with free soft drinks and much more.
The love of detail is mirrored in the whole castle. The artistic arrangements of all rooms and suites creates a unique atmosphere. Waterstands made out of valuable marble in the bathrooms and furniture out of precious woods, elegant carpets in the living area, heatable tile stoves in the suites and finest linen form a perfect composition. Simply an ideal luxury hideaway in the middle of the Transdanubian plains.
