Hotel Features. Opened in 2007, the seven- storey First Hotel Grims Grenka is a design hotel incorporating modern Scandinavian style and Zen- influenced minimalism. Amenities include a nightclub, private cinema and a health club offering a fitness suite and spa services. Multilingual staff at the 24- hour front desk are on hand to provide around-the-clock room service and assist with travel and tourist arrangements. Laundry and dry-cleaning services are also available. The hotel offers a valet-parking service.

With decor providing glimpses of the Orient, the First Hotel Grims Grenka's restaurant, Vibhava, offers a selection of Asian-inspired fusion dishes. Organic drinks and caviar are served at the Tea and Cocktail Bar, while the rooftop lounge offers refreshments and panoramic city views. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served each morning.

Business amenities include conference rooms with audio-visual equipment and wireless Internet.

The local area offers opportunities for hiking, Nordic and downhill skiing, sailing, sport fishing and cycling.

Guestrooms. The 69 air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in soft shades of either green or blue and have contemporary designer furniture and Egyptian cotton sheets. All include flat-screen televisions with satellite channels, wireless Internet, direct-dial phones, minibars and safes. Bathrooms feature black ceramic flooring, waterfall showers and oak-wood details. Bathrobes and designer toiletries are provided.

Expert Tip. In 1947, Thor Heyerdahl set out to prove that ancient Egyptians could have sailed to the Americas. The boats he built, using only technology and materials available to the original sailors, are on display at the Kon-Tiki Museum.

Please Note:
The hotel will be undergoing renovations until the middle of May. Disturbance to guests will be kept to a minimum. Please contact the hotel for further details.

Overview
Luxury design hotel - contemporary Nordic style with an Oriental touch. 66 rooms, of which 24 suites, offer spectacular space. The modern Nordic style is updated and brought to a new level by the mystique of the Orient in the interiors. Playful light arrangements and colour schemes create an intimate and sensual atmosphere throughout the entire hotel. The rooms will be in three different styles; green for summer, blue and white for winter, and red and gold for the mysterious, decadent and sensual way of living. The restaurant boasts Asian fusion cuisine with a new twist. If you just want a lighter snack, the tea and cocktail bar with emphasis on organic tea and drinks, offers classic lobby food and exclusive caviar. On the stylish roof top lounge you can unwind and self-indulge with a refreshment on a warm summers day, whilst taking in views of Oslo’s urban jungle. The lounge/nightclub on the first floor will transform Oslo’s nightlife.
