Hotel Description
Hartwell House is a magnificent stately home standing in ninety acres of landscaped parkland. It has forty-six bedrooms and suites and several elegant and spacious reception rooms with outstanding decorative ceilings and panelling, antique furniture and fine paintings. Hartwell House is owned and was restored by Historic House Hotels who also own Middlethorpe Hall in York and Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales.

Hartwell House is a member of Pride of Britain and has Four Red Stars and Three Rosettes from the AA and a Gold Ribbon from the RAC. It is set in rural countryside yet is only one hour from central London and Heathrow Airport and is an ideal place for a few days' relaxation. The hotel also lends itself to quick city breaks, or as a base for exploring Oxford, the Cotswolds, and the Chiltern Hills. An overnight stay at Hartwell is a good way to overcome jetlag on arrival in Britain, or a memorable place to stay before leaving the UK. The hotel is a popular venue for top level meetings and conferences as well as spa relaxation.
Luxury Hotel Accommodation
Hartwell House is a beautifully restored 17th century stately home. The magnificent rooms are superbly furnished with antiques and hung with fine paintings. Many of the exquisitely designed bedrooms and suites are in the house and some in Hartwell Court, the converted coach houses or the Old Rectory, Hartwell. With high ceilings, fine fabrics and dreamy views over the extensive landscape, it is a truly idyllic setting.

There are thirty bedrooms and suites on three floors in the main house each aimed at ensuring your comfort and enjoyment during your stay. In addition there are ten suites and six bedrooms in Hartwell Court, the adjacent 18th century indoor riding school. The Old Rectory Hartwell has a superbly appointed master four poster suite with a sitting room and three other bedrooms with bathrooms.

Of course, no meal is complete without a glass of fine wine. To that end, Hartwell House maintains an extensive wine cellar sure to contain the perfect wine to satisfy your palate.

The Hartwell Spa is situated close to the Hartwell Rooms and Hartwell Court, about 100 yards from the hotel.
