North Bridge is the ‘Chicest’ Bar & Brasserie in town and certainly one of the places to be seen. The architecture alone is stunning from the original marble pillars and oak panelling to the contemporary steel and glass bar and staircase.

Scotsman Health Club and Spa a private members health club extends over two levels and has made a dramatic escape from tradition. Funky cutting edge design, impeccable individual service and state-of-the-art health and fitness technology, sets the Scotsman Health Club apart from its competitors. The unusual black walls, ceramic tiles and 16-metre stainless steel pool, sauna, steam room, beauty spa, and an extensive collection of the latest exercise equipment make Scotsman Health Club and a perfect venue to relax, unwind or work off the stresses off the day. Luxury Hotel Accommodation
The 56 bedrooms and 13 Suites are each different in shape, interior design and size, resulting in a variety of rates. The common thread throughout all the rooms is the use of genuine Scottish Estate tweeds as part of the interior design. Some four dozen estates consented to allow us to use this very unique part of the Scottish heritage.
Facilities

The Scotsman Spa offers a range of organic home treatments in a setting of absolute luxury and serenity. Only the highest quality/ hand made natural products are used. A haven of

tranquillity with rustic timber clad walls and cowskin rugs/ the perfect place to escape. Relax with a magazine/daydream as the fish go by on the plasma screen or try out the fantastic retro suspended bubble chair in the chill out room.

North Bridge Brasserie & Bar is set in a splendid 19th century building formally home to The Scotsman newspaper. The décor is a flourish of English baroque, with ornate ceilings, grand windows, wood-paneled walls off set by a stunning contemporary steel staircase. Tables are set in intimate coves and booths on the ground floor, and a clever mezzanine level lifts to you gallery level, with a great view of the buzz and activity below. In the centre of the restaurant are four imposing marble pillars, which surround the central modern cocktail and wine bar – a great spot for an aperitif.

The Drawing Room is an elegant room set at the heart of the hotel is the ideal room to relax, use the business centre, meet for a coffee or catch up on the day’s news.

Flexible meetings and events space set across eight air-conditioned quiet and discreet private rooms– some named after former editors of The Scotsman newspaper and its founder. The Linklater Suite (with a private roof terrace), the Ritchie Room, Club Room, Board Room and the private screening room (much like a cinema with black leather arm chairs). Maximum capacity is up to 90 people theatre style or 250 people cocktail style.

Location
The Scotsman Hotel is located on Edinburgh’s historical North Bridge, one minute stroll from Waverly mainline train station. A short walk from the hotel are the shops of Princes Street, the attractions of the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, The National Gallery and Scott Monument. Edinburgh Airport is 10km’s away, about a 20 minute drive.
