Hotel Description
Let yourself be invited to get to know the uniqueness of our resort! Enjoy the finest cuisine, find relaxation and peace, discover the culture. In short: Holiday for Body and Soul.

The MATAHARI BEACH RESORT & SPA was built in traditional Balinese style. For the construction of the resort, which is harmoniously integrated into the beautiful countryside, only local materials such as sandstone, marble, palemanan, wood and bamboo were used. Local craftsmen and artists have created a unique resort from this special combination of materials. Many affectionate details in the stone-carvings are waiting to be discovered.
Luxury Hotel Accommodation
You may choose between four categories: Garden View, Premium View, Deluxe and Super Deluxe, each with two units and separate marble terraces. The bungalows vary in size, location and equipment.

Our guests have the choice between our Garden View, Panorama View, Deluxe and Super Deluxe Bungalows.

All our bungalows consist of two units and have beautiful marble terraces. They differ in location, size and equipment.

They all have a two-winged handcarved Balinese door through which you enter the bed-living-room. This room is decorated in warm colours with elegant and richly ornamented wooden furniture, a king-size Balinese bed or two separate beds, and a parquet floor.

An individually adjustable remote controlled air-conditioning, an IDD telephone, a minibar, coffee & tea maker, cd player and a safe are discreetly integrated. Each unit is equipped with a marble bathroom and a small tropical back garden with a shower shaped like a water spouting Balinese dragon. Here our guests can take a shower under the open sky - an unforgettable experience! The Deluxe and Super Deluxe Bungalows are additionally equipped with double wash-basins and bidets. The Super Deluxe Bungalow offers another extra: a private pavilion in the middle of a lotus pond. The ground plans on the left give you a small impression of the division of our bungalows.

Location
The Location makes all the difference
Bali is located in the centre of the Indonesian archipelago between the Indian Ocean in the south and the Java Sea in the north. With its 13,677 islands it is the largest archipelago in the world and connects Asia with Australia. The island with its 5,620 square metres is inhabited by almost 3 million Balinese. About 300,000 live in Denpasar, the capital. The majority of the population lives in small villages scattered all over the island along the paddy fields. From east to west a volcanic mountain range extends itself over the whole island with its highest mountain, the Gunung Agung (3,142 m). Bali, although only two kilometres away from Java, is mainly influenced by the Hindu culture, while the Moslem culture predominates Java. Almost nowhere in the world one can find such a fascinating blend of culture, religion, art and agriculture reflected in every day life.
