General Description
Location. Raffles Dubai is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within two kilometres of the historic Dubai Museum and the city's historical and geographical centre point, The Creek. Dubai International Airport is 5 kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. This recently built 18- storey, glass-fronted pyramid boasts a high-ceilinged marble lobby supported by sturdy white pillars where guests can take a coffee or read a complimentary newspaper. Multilingual staff manage both the concierge desk and 24-hour front desk, where there is a safe deposit box. Parking is both complimentary and secure with the hotel offering a valet service.

Raffles Dubai has two on-site restaurants. The Noble House, with sleek black tiles and scarlet curtains, offers contemporary Chinese dishes while the more earthy red-bricked Fire & Ice provides an American- style grill menu. The hotel's New Asia bar and nightclub offers exotic cocktails and a resident DJ.

For business guests, Raffles Dubai's facilities include nine private rooms and one ballroom. Complimentary Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel.

Raffles Amrita Spa pampers guests with a host of massage treatments and houses a steam room and hot tub. Towards the tip of the pyramid, the outdoor swimming pool with a swim-up bar is surrounded by Raffles Sky Garden, a carpet of flora and orchids spread over a hectare.

Guestrooms. Fashioned with Middle-Eastern and Asian decor, the 248 air-conditioned guestrooms all provide balcony views of the city. From Dubai Airport (DXB):
Distance to Raffles Dubai is 5 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Pre-paid taxis can be found at Terminal 1's Arrivals hall, and the fare to Raffles Dubai is approximately 35 AED. Limousines can be hired in the Arrivals hall. Buses run to the city centre every 10 minutes from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Bus stations are located opposite Terminals 1 and 2. Buses 44, 33, 15, 11, and 4 run to the city centre from Terminal 1, passing near to most major hotels. Bus number 2 runs to the city centre from Terminal 2, also passing near to most major hotels. Buses depart approximately every 20- 30 minutes, and a single ticket costs 2 AED. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Public buses offer a reasonable service between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Buses travel from Bur Dubai station, on Al-Ghubaiba road, and Deira bus station, near the gold souk. Buses have separate seated sections for women and men, with women typically sitting near the front. Travellers should pay the correct fare to the driver. In older parts of Dubai, small wooden motorboats cross over Dubai Creek between early morning and midnight. Air-conditioned taxis are efficient, cheap and safe, and can be pre-booked by telephone or hailed in the street.
