Location. Shangri-La Hotel Dubai is a 42-storey sleek, modern city-centre hotel situated 500 metres from the Burj Dubai skyscraper. Dubai International Airport is 10 kilometres away and takes around 15 minutes to reach by car.

Taxis are available 24 hours a day outside the Terminal One arrivals hall and fares to the hotel cost around 12 USD. Limousine hire can be arranged in the arrivals hall (journey time to the city centre: approximately 10 minutes). A bus service runs to the city centre approximately every 10 minutes between 6 AM and 10 PM. Local buses run from the Deira bus station, near the Gold Souq, and the Bur Dubai station on Al-Ghubaiba Road. The older parts of Dubai Abras (small motorboats) cross Dubai Creek from early morning until around midnight.
Driving directions. From the airport follow signs to Abu Dhabi until the roundabout at the World Trade Centre. From here follow signs to Sheikh Zayed Road. Take the first service road on the right and continue straight ahead to the hotel.
