Hotel Description
Situated in the stunning Napa Valley, the owners of The Inn On First, Jim and Jamie, live on site and have worked hard to provide a new standard for Napa Bed and Breakfast Inns. They cater to the new generation of B&B guests who want something more than doilies, egg bakes, and cheap sherry. With no televisions in the rooms, they choose to be counter-cultural and encourage their guests to disconnect from the world in order to reconnect to each other. This is not an inn for traditional B&B people. They are attracting the next generation who want great food for breakfast, well beyond the traditional omelets, frittatas, and egg bakes of old. This is where you get to experience a chef’s creative innovation each morning, one of his 110 recipes for breakfast, such as Corndog Omelets, Tomato and Egg Soup with Grilled Cheese Croutons, or S’mores French Toast with house made Marshmallows. YES, WiFi is available for those who need to stay connected to the outside world, but the hope is that you will stop, slow down, and enjoy the hospitality at the inn, local restaurants, and at the wineries. Located in the heart of downtown historic Napa with access to 400 plus wineries in the valley, and walking distance to all downtown restaurants; and Sonoma is just a 15-minute drive away.
Luxury Hotel Accommodation
Each guestroom features king-sized bed (unless otherwise noted), private bath with spacious shower, two-person whirlpool tub, iPod-ready alarm clocks, luxurious robes and fireplace. WiFi Internet service is available to all our guests throughout the Mansion and in the Garden Suites.
Mansion Rooms
The five Mansion Rooms are located on an exquisite estate built around the turn of the 20th century. While modernizing the interior to provide guests every contemporary comfort, we have remained true to the splendor and spirit of this grand manor.
Garden Suites
Our Garden Suites are the pinnacle of luxury and comfort. Nestled under 150-year-old oak trees, the five-suite structure was designed to complement the grandeur of the original estate. Each spacious Garden Suite has a private exterior entrance, a balcony or deck overlooking the garden.

Whether checked in for work or play, what could be more wonderful than having your favorite furry friend with you during your stay? Three of our Garden Suites rooms (Meritage, Incantment & Heritage Estate) are spacious and accommodating for your canine companion. Each has a private enclosed deck for outdoor access. There is an off-leash area for your canine traveler, as well as a canine outdoor shower (cleaning supplies upon request) if needed.
