Hotel Description
The finest luxury hotel and resort in the Big Bend of West Texas isn’t really a hotel, at least not a traditional one. But this is Texas, after all. So imagine the ultimate in peace, comfort, and luxury, as enchanting as you can experience in the Lone Star State, and then you’ll start to comprehend Cíbolo Creek Ranch. Captains of industry have escaped from responsibility here. Famous beauties have fled the cameras and the fashion runways to touch down on our airstrip for the privilege of privacy and serenity. And world-famous songbirds have filled the night sky here with their familiar tunes. Some have even gotten married here. All you need to know is that every guest at Cíbolo Creek Ranch is treated like a welcomed friend.

Located in the beautiful Chinati Mountains near Marfa, Texas, Cíbolo offers the quintessential Texas experience. Explore 30,000 acres rich with wildlife and awe-inspiring surroundings. Wander back in time through our three historic 1850s adobe forts. Savor our locally-inspired gourmet meals. Jump in our Humvees for a spectacular mountain tour and see stunning views. Ride ATVs across the ranch, ride horseback down Cíbolo Creek to the Native American rock art, or visit the ghost town ruins on the property. View an unbelievable display of stars in the sky. Enjoy a luxuriating massage in our spa. Or simply sit by the pool, relax, and do nothing. Our warm hospitality will make you will feel like an honored guest, and we guarantee a memorable, very enjoyable experience in the remote beauty of the Big Bend.

Off the ranch, we can arrange a rafting trip through the breathtaking canyons of Big Bend National Park or a visit to the fascinating art scene in Marfa, including the Chinati Foundation, the Judd Foundation, and a number of art galleries. If you want dinner off the ranch one evening, Marfa has excellent restaurants. You can visit the restored 1850s cavalry post at the Fort Davis National Historic Site or the world-famous University of Texas McDonald Observatory nearby on Mount Locke, one of the world’s major astronomical observatories. The most beautiful drives in Texas are the loop road through the high forests of the Davis Mountains, the desert scenery along Pinto Canyon Road on the other side of Chinati Peak from us, and the canyons of the River Road along the Río Grande toward Big Bend National Park. The Río Grande and Mexico are about 15 miles away as the crow flies—you can see into Mexico from the ranch. Cíbolo Creek Ranch’s proximity to Mexico imbues the ranch with the overwhelming presence of Mexico’s culture and customs. We offer the exotic feel of a remote and foreign land located safely within the border of the United States.

Nearby towns you might want to visit are Marfa, Alpine, Marathon, Valentine, Fort Davis, and Presidio.
